18 month update

WP12 sets out the 'ethics requirements' that the project must comply with. In the past 18 months, WP12 has finalized four reports concerning ethical issues:

  1. A report on human research including: Project related study protocols, Project related templates of the informed consent forms and information sheets and Project related ethical approvals as far as available at this stage of the project;
  2. A report on Protection of Personal Data;
  3. An overview of the External Ethics Board (EEB) established to include the relevant independent expertise to monitor the ethical concerns of this project;
  4. A report with related templates of the informed consent forms and information sheets.

Equal-Life participates in the European Human Exposome Network (EHEN, see WP11 and the EHEN website) working group on Ethics.

The yearly report of the EEB was positive and was presented during the March 2021 consortium meeting. The External Ethics Board Report, as well as an additional document ‘Guiding questions from a gender perspective’  prepared by Prof. Dr. Kerstin Palm, was posted on the internal Equal-Life communication platform.
